Do I really need a proofreader?

    Depending on your skills and experience, you potentially have lots of information to fit into just a couple of pages – good formatting can greatly improve your presentation and the readability of your CV.

    If you request this service, your document will be checked for consistency in your titles, subtitles and body text, and the in-line spacing, section breaks and page margins.

    Cover letters

    Your cover letter needs to be as carefully considered as your CV and should be put through the same rigorous checking process. By sending it to me, you can be assured that it will be proofread to the same high standards as your CV.

    I’ll make sure it’s well-presented, clear, concise and to the point, with no spelling, grammar or punctuation errors. You’ll also receive feedback and suggestions to help you improve it, if necessary.

  • The fee for proofreading your CV or cover letter (or both) depends on the services you require and how much intervention is needed, rather than on your word count alone.

    I will need to see your full CV to assess how much work is likely to be required.

    ✔ What you would like me to work on – do you only need your CV to be proofread, or do you have a cover letter as well? Perhaps you need to have an application form checked over?

    ✔ How much editing you would like me to do – do you require proofreading only, or both proofreading and formatting?
